Our Process

Our Process

Our design process starts with the first conversation and continues through move-in, guided by a deep understanding of client goals and site-specific opportunities

From concept to guest-ready.

An eleven-step framework refined across hundreds of hospitality projects. Every phase is built around one outcome: rooms that open on time, on budget, and exactly as envisioned — with zero surprises at the door.

Our Process

Our process starts with your vision and continues through move-in, shaped by your goals and the site’s potential

01

Assessment & Strategy

We begin with a structured discovery — analyzing guest experience objectives, brand standards, occupancy projections, and budget parameters. The output is a clear strategic roadmap that aligns every stakeholder before a single item is specified.

02

Budget Optimization & Value Engineering

We develop detailed cost models at the total-project and per-key level. Where value engineering opportunities exist we present them clearly — comparing materials, suppliers, and lead times — so ownership can make informed decisions without sacrificing design intent.
03

Design Development & Sampling

Your vision becomes tangible through rendered 3D shop drawings, finish samples, and fully built mock-up rooms delivered to your location. Every surface, material, and detail is reviewed in context — exactly as your guests will experience it.
04

Sign-Off by Designer & Owner

A formal approval milestone where both the designer and ownership sign off on every specification, finish sample, and room mock-up. Nothing enters production without this confirmed alignment. This single step eliminates the most common and costly source of project delays.

05

Pre-Production Review

Our project manager conducts a final checkpoint — cross-referencing every shop drawing, finish schedule, and material specification against the signed-off samples. A quality gate that prevents costly corrections once the factory floor moves.

06

Production Management

We oversee every manufacturing stage with rigorous quality control at our global partner facilities. Weekly photos, videos, and direct project manager updates give you full visibility — and 100% inspection at each phase ensures nothing leaves unless it meets standard.

07

Pre-Packaging Inspection Report

Every single unit is physically inspected and documented before it is packaged. A formal written report — with photographs — is issued for your records. Dimensions, finishes, hardware, and assembly quality are verified against specification. This is our most critical quality control step: issues caught here cost days, not months.
08

Shipping & Packaging

Custom packaging engineered for the fragility and dimensions of each piece. Export crating, corner protection, humidity control, and carton elimination where possible. Every shipment is designed to arrive exactly as it left our facility.
09

Delivery & Logistics — Warehousing

Our global logistics team coordinates customs documentation, carrier selection, and bonded warehousing where required. We stage deliveries to align with your construction schedule so your installation team always has what they need, when they need it — and nothing sits on a truck waiting.
10

Installation

We coordinate professional installation teams familiar with hospitality FF&E — working within your phased opening schedule. A complete spare-parts and backup-materials inventory is on hand so your crew never faces a delay on-site. Rooms become revenue on schedule.
11

Final Inspection & Handover

Your Sorakai representative conducts a formal walk-through at the job site alongside your designer and ownership team — verifying every piece against the original specification and signed-off samples. Punch list items are resolved before guest day. The project is not complete until you are fully satisfied.
